Since 2008, The Melbourne Avian Rescue Sanctuary (M.A.R.S.) has been dedicated to the care, rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of injured, neglected, abused and abandoned companion parrots. These birds posess the intelligence of a 2-5 human toddler and boast average life spans of 30 to 80 years! Sadly too many of these amazing creatures live with owners who are unable or ill equipped to care for them. LuAnn Apple, the founder and director of M.A.R.S. provides a safe haven where they can swing in trees, interact with other parrots, receive nutritious food, necessary medical care and eventually find a loving forever home. Please help us help them!

    Hello there!

My name is Cathy. If it’s not too late, I’d love to volunteer my time and services for the Easter Egg Hunt!

I have been the lucky companion to a few amazing parrots in my life, and am missing them, so the opportunity to work with, and be involved in whatever capacity to enrich and further the cause for these fantastic creatures would be my pleasure and privilege.

You may contact me by email, or by phone at 321.301.9111 or 321.276.1116.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope to hear from you soon!!

    Sincerely,
    Cathy Threadgill

P.S. If you have other ongoing volunteer opportunities available I would be interested in discussing those, as well!

Cathy just saw this email so sorry I believe the link that sends these to my email box must be broken. We always need volunteers who are not afraid of really hard but rewarding work. It is never ever dull. Please go to the forms page and print out the adoption app. Then email me at marsparrots@aol.com and we will set an app to meet and show you what we do.
